About the Fair
With the impact of the high growing capacity at the automotive sector, INDOAUTOMOTIVE 2010 – 3rd Indonesian International Automotive, Spare Parts & Accessories Exhibition was grandly held between 5 – 8 May 2010. 11,954 professionals from Indonesia, Malaysia, Swedia, Thailand, Singapore and India visited the trade fair which was held at Jakarta International Expo covering an area of 4,655 sqm. 127 manufacturers from Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Russia exhibited at the fair.
Transactions during the Fair
Participating companies have reported not only unexpectedly high enthusiasm of potential visitors, but also a greater readiness to invest. A large percentage of the exhibitor’s interview rated the commercial outcome of their participation as very good to satisfactory and the transaction which occurred during the fair generated at least 28 Billion Rupiah.
This amount has over-target from the expected transaction target of 25 Billion Rupiah, as per Mrs. Rini Sumardi, Director of PT Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI) stated at the Opening Ceremony on May 5th 2010.

Opening Ceremony
The Opening Ceremony was held on 5th of May 2010 at Trademart Center, Jakarta International Expo. The venue was full of journalist who reported the ceremony with massive coverage in local newspaper and online media, such as Media Indonesia, Bisnis Indonesia, Indopos, Antara, Investor Daily, Republika, Warta Kota, Koran Jakarta, Sinar Harapan, Berita Kota, Neraca, Seputar Indonesia, Jurnal Nasional, Business Review, Swa-Online, Detik.com, Kapanlagi.com, Inilah.com, Otomotifnet.com and Tempo Interaktif.

Indonesian Automotive Market
Considering the macro-economic parameters, Indonesia is on a threshold of rapid growth in cars in next few years. The economic & sociological indicators suggest that low cost cars can succeed in Indonesia. Regarding to the issue, an update seminar of Indonesian Automotive Market was held during IndoAutomotive 2010.
Several speakers from reputable institutions such as Frost & Sullivan Asia – Mr Vivek Vaidya, Frost & Sullivan Indonesia – Mr Mario Montino and Indonesian Automotive Center – Mr Isnanto; shared about Global Trends in Low Cost Cars and Implementations to Indonesia, Global Trends in Auto-Components and Implementations to Indonesia; and Productivity Enhancement through QSEAL Standardization.
Product Design and Global Process of Automotive Components
Chairman of Indonesia Product Design Association - Mr Mizan Allan de Neve shared his acknowledgement about Product Design Implementation for 2010 – 2014. In 2010, there are 4 local products that targeted to produce in Jakarta dan Bandung with cooperation with local universities such as Trisakti, Paramadina, Institut Teknologi Bandung and Institut Teknologi Nasional. The products are car accessories, car assembling, military car and police car.

No efforts were spared to ensure an aggressive publicity and promotion campaign. Various forms of media were used to success to ensure reach to targeted groups of trade professionals and industry players.
Direct Mailing & Electronic Direct Mailing:
Over 10,000 direct mailing and 30,000 electronic direct mailing were sent to trade buyers to introduce the fair, promote exhibiting companies and assist overseas trade buyers to plan their itinerary and agenda.
Industrial Associations:
IndoAutomotive 2010 was endorsed and supported by industrial associations nationwide. They include:

These associations were relentless in their efforts to organize and invite trade personnel. The result was a successful turnout of industry professionals, buyers and purchasers to the Exhibition.
