AUTOMECT, a spin-off of Salão – International Automobile Trade Show and which had its first edition in 1993, is the principal showcase of the latest technological developments and of new services of the autoparts sector of Latin America, apart from being one of the most important centres for doing business.

The 2005 edition underscored the evolution of the fair, underlining the events professionalism in terms of organisation, significant performance of exhibiting companies and the high quality of visitors/buyers. With inflation under control, the drop in interest rates, the increase in income of the population, together, are some of the indicators that point to a favourable growth prospects for the country over the next years. This increases the level of optimism with regard to AUTOMEC 2007 and the activities of the Brazilian industrial and commercial markets.

AUTOMEC is the biggest showcase of new technologies and services of the autoparts sector in Latin America. AUTOMEC 2007 brought together 1,344 direct exhibitors in a net floor area of 78,000 sqm and 96,211 visitors were recieved. These figures make AUTOMEC an very important centre for generating business in Latin America and offer significant business opportunities for manufacturers and distributors of automotive parts, accessories and machinery.
