About Automechanika South Africa

The Worlds Leading Trade Fair for the Automotive Industry

Automechanika South Africa offers you a unique spectrum of products from the fields of automotive parts, car wash, workshop and filling-station equipment, IT products and services, accessories and tuning. Automechanika South Africa is unmatched in terms of scope and internationality. Around 50 per cent of the exhibitors at the last event came from outside South Africa and it presents a Gateway to Africa

BE PART OF THE WORLD’S LEADING AUTOMOTIVE TRADE FAIR BRAND

Everybody in South Africa has now experienced the power of a major global brand and what it can do for those companies and people involved following the successful completion of the staging of the 19th FIFA Football World Cup, one of the biggest brands in the world.

You have the opportunity to be linked with the world’s leading automotive aftermarket trade fair brand if you exhibit at Automechanika South Africa when it is staged at the MTN Expo Centre in Johannesburg for the second time on March 9-11, 2011.

Automechanika is the world’s clear leading brand among business-to-business automotive aftermarket trade fairs, according to independent research.
It has recently extended its portfolio of trade fair to 14 cities and 13 countries (Russia has shows in both Moscow and St. Petersburg) by agreeing a joint venture with Spanish show organisers IFEMA to stage Motortec Automechanika Iberica in Madrid from March 30 – April 2, 2011.
It is possible that Messe Frankfurt’s very successful Automechanika brand could be expanded to 8 to 10 more cities within the next decade.

The inaugural Automechanika South Africa, which took place in 2009, was the most successful launch event ever since the brand went global in 1997, in terms of the amount of exhibition space sold, while the number of exhibitors, at 400, was double the estimate when the original planning took place.

Next year’s event promises to not only to build on the lessons learned from the first show, but it will also incorporate a number of innovations to make it even more attractive to exhibitors and visitors alike. It is the ideal time and place to stage conferences, workshops and training sessions.

For one thing, much greater emphasis is being placed on the fact that South Africa is the “Gateway to Africa” and targeted campaigns will ensure an increase in the number of potential buyers from African countries. It is also anticipated that there will be even greater international participation than at the first show, which took place in early 2009 as the global economic meltdown was starting to really bite.

It certainly promises to be a “must do” event for all involved in the automotive aftermarket in South Africa!

I herewith extend to you an invitation to participate in the 2011 event which will offer opportunities across a number of platforms from Innovation Awards, Green Directory, to conferences, workshops
and industry forecasting.
